What Is
Life In Fast Forward?
Welcome to the online home of me, some guy given the name John Cleveland Payne. In the grand scheme of life, I am just another guy with another blog. But to myself, and hopefully to all of you who actually read this, I am something a little more special. From a young age, I fell in love of the idea of ‘the message’ and medium in which you try to transmit.

Basically, everyone has a message to give to the world. Some are basic, some complex, some have the power to up lift and some are just out there to bring as many people down as possible. But everyone has a message, and most people have problems identifying their message. And the ones who get that far can seem to figure out how to get the world to listen.

Well, I have a message, and this is where I will get a chance to share it. Hopefully, you’ll get plenty of things to keep you motivated or inspired, provide knowledge and comfort, and just have a little fun. Apologies for the state of flux and state of seemingly confusing messages that you’ll get here for a while, as I am doing a lot of personal soul searching, and scrubbing of old ideas to take the best of the past to build a new beginning.

In 2007, I changed the name of blog from “The Mis-Adventures Of The Jazzy Cool One” to “Life In Fast Forward.” I began to tear down old blogs and newsletters and try to find places for them here. My goal is to take the focus off of me the person, and show the world the life I live and share with every human on the planet. I aspire to life at a very high standard, and instead of dealing with people who rather slow us down, I want to find ways to help people pick up there own pace. As you get to see an insight to the further adventures I hope to lead, hopefully you’ll enjoy the ride, and want to come along.

You can add sportscasting to the list of things I do badly on the radio, yet get to do anyway. I got the chance fill in for the sports cast for the morning show I produce, which turned out to be not one of my wisest of my not so wise decisions. It was a busy morning anyway, with a lot of sound clips I had to send to the sales department and corporate folks, and a lot of phone interviews to chase. The interviews got on the air (barely) and I got the clips recorded (but not properly) and the actual casts I did were awful. Well, three where officially awful. One was 'alright' and one was 'getting there.' As I make my quest to become a true on air personality, its amazing how many chances I get to choke and then get to come back and choke, er, try again. Somebody's keeping a eye on me and this pursuit of broadcasting that any normal moron would have given up for futile long ago. Apparently, am a special grade of moron.

It only matters to people who live in Arkansas and Jacksonville, but Fox Sports.com, via Sporting News senior writer Dan Pompei, rates the Jaguars weekend at the NFL Draft a D, blaming there performance solely on the drafting of University of Arkansas' enigma man Matt Jones.

Has it been almost a month since I posted? So much for consistancy, but I've had a busy few weeks. I know, I know. Those few of you who actually do read this are saying that I always say I've had a busy few weeks. Well, I frequently do have busy few weeks, and they seem to go back to back to back more often than I am liking. Plus, Blogger seems to have a tendacy to lose my posts after I type them but before I post them. Makes it a bit frustrating after writng a long post with links to have it go poof.

I promise to try harder to keep up, and to try to be more interesting.
